1. Extra credit points for signed syllabus or planner.

2. Review the syllabus and copy assignments into planner.

3. Intro Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird.

4. Intro work packet expectations. Define 1^st set of Vocab. words in packet and complete yellow pg.1.

5. Begin Reading Ch. 1.

HW Finish reading Ch. 1 and answer Set A. study guide questions –

Tues. class.

1. Discuss Ch. 1 – Intro diary page in packet.

2. Read Ch. 2 & 3 – complete diary entry for each chapter.

HW Finish reading 2 & 3, write a diary entry, and answer Set A study guide questions for Ch. 2 & 3.

Wed. class

1. Discuss Ch. 2 & 3.

2. Discuss setting and mood – complete white pages 3, 5, 6, 7.

3. Intro vocab. for Ch. 4-6. Define words and complete yellow pg. 2.

HW Read Ch. 4 – write diary entry and answer study guide questions.

Thur. class

1. Discuss study guide questions for Ch. 4.

2. Read Ch. 5 & 6 - write diary entry and answer Set A study guide questions.

HW Finish work started in class. Quiz tomorrow on Ch. 1-6.

Fri. class

1. Quiz on Chapt. 1-6

2. Complete Local Color white pages 8, 9, 10.
