2. Share themes for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

3. Complete pgs. 26 & 28 in class.

HW Review your packet to remember the action of the play.

Study allusion, paradox, alliteration, theme, and starred vocab. for Act. 4 & 5.

Tues. class

1. Review for test.

HW Study for test on the whole play and starred vocab. for 4 & 5.

Wed. class

1. Test on “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

HW Poetry terms – Use Red Lit. books to define the following terms:

internal and end rhyme, rhyme scheme, rhythm, repetition, alliteration, assonance, consonance, onomatopoeia.

Thur. class

1. Review poetry terms and examples of each.

HW Poetic techniques: allusion, compacting, colloquial speech, humor, inversion, parallelism.

paradox, symbolism, imagery, figurative language. Use Red Lit. books to define the following terms.

Fri. class

1. Find examples of Poetic techniques in the Hockey poem pg. 624
