Sept. book choice is due Thur. 9/3. Turn in your contract on this day. Bring your book to class!!!

Movie poster due Tuesday Sept. 9. You will be presenting it to the class. Practice at home.

Mon. in class

1. Review syllabus. Two (2) extra credit pts. given each week for having a parent signature on the syllabus or in the planner.

2. Copy assignments into planner.

3. Pretests for capitalization and punctuation.

4. Green Language Network books assigned.

HW Find a book for Sept. Independent reading – due Thur. (realistic fiction, historical fiction, adventure)

Work on Movie Poster – due next Tues.

Tues. in class

1. WOD – sentence revising – take notes on concepts.

2. Modeling of Journal Entries.

HW 1. Find a book for Sept. Independent reading – due Thur. (realistic fiction, historical, fiction, adventure)

Work on Movie Poster – due next Tues.

Wed. in class

1. WOD – sentence revising – take notes on concepts.

2. Writing prompt – finish in class – place in yellow folder.

HW Sept. book title due tomorrow. Fill out the contract.

Thur. in class

1. Turn in contracts for Sept book.

2. Return pre-tests – start review work according to chart on the overhead.

Copy your own review work pages into your planner and complete at least 2 lessons.

Once review lessons are completed from the chart, all students must do the following:

a. Read pg. 246 & 247 then complete Mixed Review pg. 244 – all of it, answers only.

b. Read pg. 274 & 275 then complete Mixed Review pg. 272.

HW Movie Poster due Tues. – practice presentation at home.

Read your Sept. book First journal entry due Thur. Sept. 10.

Fri. in class

1. WOD – sentence revising – take notes on concepts.

2. Continue working on individual review lessons.

When finished, all students do the following (a) and (b) noted on Thursday’s syllabus.
